D. Scott McCarter of Locust Grove is the newest member of the Henry County Development Authority Board. Appointed by District I County Commissioner Warren Holder, McCarter was sworn in on February 3 by Henry County Probate Judge Kelley Powell.

A lifelong resident of Henry County, McCarter is a local banker with First National Bank. He serves on the Ola High School Baseball and Band Booster Clubs and attends Locust Grove United Methodist Church.

“I am excited about my appointment to the Authority. The Development Authority’s work is essential to building Henry County’s economy and maintaining the quality of life we enjoy here,” said McCarter.

“We are delighted to have Scott on the Authority,” said Development Authority Chairman Jim White, “as a longtime member of the community and his past involvement on the Henry County Zoning Advisory Board, he will bring valuable insight to the work of the Authority.”
