The Henry County Development Authority (HCDA) annual Election of Officers was held at its regularly scheduled January board meeting. HCDA is pleased to announce four officer elections: Mr. Jim White of Stockbridge, chairman; Mr. David Gill of Stockbridge, vice chairman; Mrs. Vickie Loper of McDonough, secretary/treasurer and Mr. Ken Huff of Hampton, assistant secretary/treasurer.

Jim White, a 21 year veteran of the Board, succeeds Mr. W.L. “Billy” Carter, who retired after 42 years of service with the HCDA Board of Directors. A past HCDA chairman and vice chairman, White is a local real estate broker with TK White Realty. He serves as chairman of the Snapping Shoals Electric Membership Corporation Board of Directors and is an active member in the Henry County Chamber of Commerce and the Henry County Council for Quality Growth. He and his wife, Linda, attend The Rock Presbyterian Church in Stockbridge.

David Gill, a HCDA Board member since 1998, is the bank executive for The First State Bank in Stockbridge. A Past Board Chair of the Henry County Chamber of Commerce, Gill currently serves on its Board of Directors. He and his wife, Terry, attend McDonough United Methodist Church.

Vickie Loper is the business development manager at Georgia Federal Credit Union in Stockbridge. Loper has been a HCDA board member since 2006. Active in the community, Loper serves on the Henry County Chamber of Commerce’s Education Committee and serves on the Boards of Directors for Henry Medical Center’s Foundation and Connecting Henry.

Ken Huff is the supplier relations manager for Georgia Power Company, managing the supplier diversity and business development activities of the company. Prior to his current position, Huff managed Georgia Power’s community relations and community development activities in Henry County, working with business leaders, educators, mayors and legislators to enhance the quality of life and advance the economic development of the community. Huff is a Past Board Chair for the Henry County Chamber of Commerce.
